Wednesday, February 09, 2005 Changes to Holiday VISAs
I have been contacted by a few friends asking about the changes to Holiday VISAs, whether it'll effect me, my girl or people coming over.
According to First Contact, it seems that the Holidaymaker VISA is now one year - down from two. Tony Blair got hassled and decided to drop the length - but has anyone measured the amount of people who come over since the UK is now part of the EU? It doesn't seem to effect Ancestory VISA applicants though, or people who have VISAs currently [phew].
I really hope this doesn't effect any of my friends coming over, but know that we have a comfy mattress [ask my sister] for the lounge room ready for visitors.
Bruge at the end of the month is coming up -- I noticed yesterday when I had to decline a meeting. Also have Barcelona in the pipeline for the end of April - a little birthday present for The Girl [she knows, so it ain't a secret].
